I’ve got the cutest idea for you today. It is also a super easy idea. I love when cute and easy come together. Those are the best kind of ideas, in my opinion.

Need to do this for our next picnic! Make picnic utensil holders. Easy, quick, and cute. Perfect! #Picnic #Crafts #PGeveryday #Sponsored #RealCoake

One of my favorite things to do with my family is to go on a picnic. You may also remember that I love finding quick and easy things that I can do that add some fun and cuteness to our time together as a family. It doesn’t have to be anything big, but it is fun to me and just adds a little something to our family fun.

The other day I discovered a website that had all kinds of great ideas! Have you discovered the P&Geveryday site? I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed. They have all kinds of great ideas from recipes, crafts, and family fun to beauty tips, health and home.

I found these adorable picnic utensil holders on their site and knew I needed to make them. I found a few other ideas I’m going to stash away for our upcoming cross-country driving trip…those will probably be lifesavers at some point in our long drive!

I’m actually going to stash a bunch of these picnic utensil holders in my car for our trip. They are perfect for the glove box or our snack box. No reason we can’t have cute while driving cross-country.

You ready to make some for your next picnic or for your glove box as well? Let’s do it.

Supplies:

  • Paper bags
  • Washi Tape
  • Scissors
  • Paper napkins
  • Utensils
  • Stamps or other embellishments (optional)

Fold the paper bag up from the bottom. Make sure it has at least 3″ up from the fold so that your napkin and utensils will fit and not fall out. Give your fold a good crease.

Cut a length of washi tape that will fit the bag. Place half of it on the bag.

Fold the other half of the tape over the edge. Press well.

Cut a length of washi tape the length of the side of the now folded bag. Follow the same procedure of placing half of the tape on the front of the bag and folding the remaining amount over the edge to the back of the bag.

Finish your bag with one more piece of washi tape on the opposite side.

If you would like to, you can stamp your utensil holders or add other embellishments. Place a folded napkin and the utensils in the pocket. Cuteness! We also are already done! ♥ it!

My favorite kinds of picnics are the kind where you grab some good bread, meat, and cheese. Throw them in a basket lined with a tablecloth or napkin. I found this adorable cloth checkerboard. It lines the picnic basket and will provide entertainment as well! Add some fruit and a fruit dip for a special treat. Don’t forget the plates and you are good to go….well after you add in your cute picnic utensil holders. Easy to throw together and so delicious. These are some of my favorite kinds of spur of the moment things to do with my kiddos. They usually make for great family time.

I’m so glad I found the P&Geveryday site. It gave me this great idea to add to our cross-country trip as well as some great travel games and ideas for the kids. I highly recommend that you take a look around at the P&Geveryday website. I think you are going enjoy it and find great ideas and smart tips. They even have coupons, too! You can also follow P&Geveryday on facebook and see great ideas in your facebook feed. 🙂

What are your favorite simple things to do with or for your family? In my opinion, it is the little and simple things.

Absolutely adorable!! Whoever invented washi tape…pure genius! I LOVE that stuff. I used tons of it when decorating for my son’s baby shower. To your comment about cute and easy ideas being the best? I offer up a hearty “Amen!”.

Really adorable, and would be even more of a winner if the inside of the bag were used for a menu card, a souvenir of some kind or maybe for a notecard and pencil to write a message or draw a picture for the honoree of the party! thanks for sharing on craft schooling Sunday.

This is a darling project! When I first started reading, I thought they were sewn out of fabric. This is so much simpler. Love it! Thank you for sharing on Family Joy Blog Link-Up Party. Hope you are having a great week!
