Do you love slow cooker recipes? I know I do, however I really prefer to find recipes that use real ingredients, not processed foods. Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite slow cooker recipes that is easy and natural. I love it because it is yummy and it feeds a ton of people. It is perfect for a group or to make and put half of it in the freezer for another busy night. Perfection!

This is such an easy and cheap Mexican food crockpot dinner! I love when it is simple and the kids love it. This one feeds a crowd as well.

This slow cooker recipe is also great because everyone in my family will eat it. I’m sure you know the pain of trying to find a meal everyone will eat without complaining that is also easy to make. This recipe fulfills all of it! Yay!

You will want to start by placing all the ingredients in your Crockpot(affiliate link to mine that I LOVE!). I showed you my trick for using ground turkey in slow cooker recipes that makes this even easier. You can also use your own taco seasoning recipe and save money as well as know exactly what goes into your seasoning.

While the tostadas are cooking, cook your tostada shells. You can make your own in the last 10 minutes before serving. They are easy to make and when you make them yourself. Then they have no lard or msg like most store bought tostada shells.

Place the tostada mixture on your warm shell.

Add whatever toppings you like on top of your tostadas.

When I make this for the family, I make a tostada bar, like you can see in the post I wrote about our Leaf Jumping and S’more party. It means each person gets to make their own. I think that is why everyone loves this meal. They get to select their own toppings. For some reason at our house, if they get to make it or put their own toppings on, it is a guarantee they will love it!

Yum, yum! Can’t wait to eat some delish tostadas. We usually serve ours with my crazy easy Spanish rice. Perfect side dish for this dinner!
