Recently, we tried another new recipe thanks to my recipe reorganization.

While we enjoyed the original recipe, I decided to modify it for our lifestyle and taste.
To make these delicious breadsticks you will need:
1 uncooked pizza dough (I get mine pre-made in the deli section at Trader Joe’s)
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
Spray oil for your pan
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Put your uncooked dough on a lightly floured surface.
Roll it out to about 1/4 inch thick.
You don’t need to be picky about the shape, unless that is important to you.
TIP: The first time you roll your dough, it won’t roll out to it’s full capacity. When it gets to the point that it is ‘bouncing’ back. Let it relax for 5 minutes. Then try again. It will be much easier to roll it out as far as you want.
While you are waiting for your dough to relax, you can gather your dry ingredients. I mixed mine in my mortise and pestle, but you could just mix them or run them through a spice grinder or food processor.
This contains:
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
Now that your dough has relaxed and you have rolled it out to about 1/4 inch thick. Place it on the baking sheet that you have sprayed with thin layer of oil.
Brush 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil onto your pizza dough.
Sprinkle your herb mixture on your pizza dough.
Using a bench scrapper or a knife, score your dough to the size breadsticks you desire. Do not cut all the way through. Score about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through the dough.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Yum! Fresh out of the oven!
Now it is time to enjoy these simple, yummy, herbed breadsticks!
My kids couldn’t get enough of these! That means they must be REALLY good!

Yum! I’ve never thought of using pizza dough to make breadsticks before. Sounds like a great idea!
It makes it so easy to make homemade breadsticks of any variety! Plus it is healthier than the canned variety (at least in my opinion). None of those chemicals. Thanks for stopping by!

Glad I could give you a new tip. If you try it you will be pleased with the results. I learned that a few years ago and it makes it so much easier to get crust to the thickness you want. Enjoy!

I actually made them for dinner today. I made my own pizza dough, though. Instead of rosemary and pepper I used garlic powder, It was delicious.

a little bit of salt and garlic powder 🙂 delish!!! 🙂 I always make different breadsticks with this “topping” but those are more work. with your recipe I can make breadsticks one day and pizza (with leftover dough) the next day. it works perfect!!! thanks!
