Ok you guys, I’m so excited to bring you today’s post! I’ve been secretly working on a project for about a year now. Today is the day I get to show it to you! I’ve created a colorful and super organized printable planner for bloggers!
Sometimes I find it kind of shocking how fast time goes and that I have now been blogging for 5+ years. Time has flown! The amount of education I have amassed in that time is pretty staggering. I didn’t have a clue when I started, but slowly over time I learned. I’m still learning.
One of the things that I have never really had to learn with blogging is how to be organized. I have struggled with finding the tools, i.e, a printable planner, that had everything I needed to organize all the different parts of running a blog.
At the same time, I know there are lots of you who struggle to be organized and stay focused on where you want to go and the steps of how to get there. Yet, you still have dreams for your blog and you have a big picture of what you want.
I decided to use my natural gift of being organized and help both you and I out by creating the Real Organized Blog Planner. Now we both have a great tool to help us organize all the different facets of blogging! I’ve never seen a planner that had all the components that are in the Real Organized Blog Planner.
One of the best things you can do to stay focused on growing your blog is to take the time to sit down and write out your big badass goal for the year. I know sometimes we have a hard time stepping out of the busyness of blogging and creating content to plan, but you will see huge benefits if you do it.
Once you have the goal written down, you need to break it down into small actionable steps. In the instructions that come with the planner, I have some great resources for you that can help with this.
Having that big goal for the year is great, but you need the smaller actionable steps and you need to see those.
Writing those big badass goals is only half of the battle. Then you need to focus on them each month throughout the year. If my big goal is to double the size of my blog and I plan to focus on Pinterest for a big part of that goal, what am I going to do in January to increase my referrals from Pinterest? Be specific. Make it something you can do in January (not multiple months or the year).
The great thing about the Real Organized Blog Planner is that I have space for you to take a few minutes each month and refocus. It doesn’t take long, but it has huge rewards. Write out those 3 specific top tasks/goals you need to complete for that month.
Spend a moment reflecting on things that didn’t work very well and what you learned from that. Sometimes we need to see it in writing to really learn from it.
There is also space to write out your successes. We need to celebrate throughout the year. The little achievements = big success by the end of the year.
Speaking of celebrating successes, the Real Organized Planner comes with 3 sheets of stickers that are designed for you to not only have some fun creating a cute planner but with built in checkmarks and cute labels to mark your successes! Yay!
Creating a growing blog that is drawing in new readers, new clients, and more money takes focus on all fronts. When it comes to planning an editorial calendar there are two factors that I have found create success.
- Planning ahead
- Knowing it will change
The three sheets of stickers that are included with your planner are intended to be printed on full sheet sticker paper (This is an affiliate link to the one that tested the best for me because it was truly repositionable). There is a full sheet of these square stickers that fit perfectly on your editorial calendar. By using the repositionable stickers, you can plan your editorial calendar with confidence knowing that you are organized and that you can quickly and easily change things around when you get that last minute sponsored post or a project is taking longer than you thought it would take to complete.
You can handle those curve balls now because you already had future plans and you can quickly see another post or another project that can be swapped around. It gives such ease and peace of mind to the nature of our ever-changing editorial calendars.
Successfully growing your blog and drawing in a larger audience and more clients will most certainly mean that you need to be organized and cohesive with your social media plan as well. Having a way to quickly and easily see that you are projecting the message you want to convey on all your social media channels is the key to being organized. Of course, the social media calendar included in the planner is laid out for that purpose.
I schedule almost all of my social media in advance, so I don’t have to live on my computer. These are the scheduling tools I love. Some of these are affiliate links, so thanks for supporting my blog if you sign up.
Tailwind is the best Pinterest scheduling tool I’ve used thus far (and they have Instagram soon to come…Yay!). I love Schedugram for Instagram and Post Planner is my favorite for scheduling Facebook and Twitter. The other thing that I use is Next Scripts SNAP WordPress plug-in. That allows me to schedule initial promotions right through my post when I am writing the post, even to my blog Pinterest board. Love that!
There are even more goodies in the Real Organized Blog Planner!
There are photography planners, sponsor pitch tracking sheets(and if you want more info. on pitching brands I highly recommend Bloggers & Brands– affiliate link), shopping lists and more. I have thought so many different aspects of blogging and I’ve got you organized and ready to tackle the year and hit your goals. I have literally been working on this planner for a year now. I’ve worked and re-worked forms by using them myself. This is not your average blog planner. You are going to be amazed!
So, picture this: Your photography has gone to the next level, your blog is growing, you are focused on the steps you need to take this month and this year to grow your blog, you have a focused plan for posts, and feel organized. You even have time for your family and life.
Say goodbye to disorganized, unfocused blogging.
