Under my latest, better late than never blogs, I am finally adding the last part of Pumpkin’s Rapunzel Tangled Themed Birthday Party. Today I wanted to show you the simple favor bags I made and filled for the party.

You can view my other posts about this party here:

I made these favor bags using paper bags I found at a local craft store 5 for $1. I used the same stencil Mr. T made out of contact paper. I stenciled the bags with the same sun and paint that I was using to add to the theme of the party. I also cut out the yellow fancy tag that you see as well as the crown with the first initial of the child on my cricut machine. I used the Cricut Cartridge, Once Upon a Princess for to make these.
I filled the bags with a few simple treats. I found some princess suckers and both Pumpkin and Snowflake love to eat crabby patties (though they want you to know that they do not like spongebob), so we found those and added them. I also found some cute press on nail ‘polish’ stickers that looked fun for a bunch of princesses. Finally I added my special piece, the bracelet I made for each of the girls.
I realized this may not seem like much for a favor bag, but remember each child also got to take home the crown with the Rapunzel hair, the pascal blower craft we did as well as the cookies they decorated at the party. So, by the end of the party, these bags were full.
I got the idea for these cute bracelets from this blog post: How To Make Girls Stretchy Beaded Bracelet. Of course, as is my style, I modified them a bit. When I went to the craft store to get the supplies, the big beads like those used in that post were a bit pricey for my budget. They were having a sale on the beads, so I was able to get a few medium sized beads and more small beads. Of course, the store didn’t have all one color in the sizes I needed and since I really don’t like running from store to store, I modified the idea further. I came up with a pattern based on the beads and colors I had and used the tutorial on the website above to put them together. I thought they turned out really cute and the girls seemed to like them as well.
