Easter Mason Jar Cookie Recipe

Now I realize that Easter cookies are not nearly as popular as Christmas cookies(or may not even be a thing), but since I have a thing for M&M’s, like to find cute ways to use them, and I love how they look in Mason jars, I decided to try another Mason jar cookie recipe.

OM to the Cuteness! This M&M Cookie Recipe in a Mason Jar is so cute and the cookies are so delicious. These are fun, unexpected Easter gifts for friends or family or my family.

You may remember the M&M Valentine heart cookie, 4th of July Oatmeal Cookie Recipe in Mason Jar, or if you have been following me since way back in the day you may remember the Christmas Gift in a Jar (which were brownies with M&M’s in them).

I think cookies/brownies in a jar are fun gift ideas or just fun to make and look at on the counter (until we make them). They are so cute! Did I mention I have a thing for the differently colored holiday M&M’s…and this time I added some cute Easter sprinkles. Oh my!

I think this year, I’m going to give these two jars to a couple of friends so they can have some fun Easter cookies. A little just because gift.

OM to the Cuteness! This M&M Cookie Recipe in a Mason Jar is so cute and the cookies are so delicious. These are fun, unexpected Easter gifts for friends or family or my family.

To make your Easter cookies in a jar, just add the ingredients into the 1 quart jar (affiliate link). I have a recipe for you at the bottom of this post.

Make sure you pack things down as you go or it won’t all fit into the jar. Use a spoon to help you pack each layer down.

When you get to the sprinkles layer, use your spoon to get them to the edge of the jar so they really show off. There are very few sprinkles in the center of my jar.

Finish with your M&M’s on the top.

Mmmm..this cookie recipe is very similar to a chocolate chip cookie recipe, but with M&M’s and sprinkles instead of chocolate chips. Once you have given it to whomever you are giving it, they will need to add a few ingredients (which are all listed on the free tag printable I have for you) and bake them up.

The cookies are delicious, cute, and colorful. What is better than yummy and cute? Nothing, right?

When you have your jars all ready to go, print out your free printable tags and tie them onto the jar. The tag will give the recipient the directions to finish making the cookies. Just sign in below to snag your free recipe and printable tags.

In my opinion, this cookie recipe makes an easy, cute and unexpected gift for Easter. It is also a great gift for your family. My family is loving the unexpected cookies!

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve never had a problem with this recipe. Yes, I do melt the butter. Do you live at altitude? If so, that may be an issue.

On the recipe it says 13/4 cups of flour is that 13 cups because it seems like an awful lot

No. Sorry for the confusion. It should be 1 and 3/4 cup or 1.75 cups of flour. Hope that helps.

There is a box near the end of the post. It says the recipe is a subscriber only bonus. Add your name and email address in that box. Then wait just a short bit and another graphic will appear. That graphic says something like, click here for your free recipe (or printable). Click on it. It will open up a pdf file with both the recipe and tags for you. You can then save those to your computer or just print them off. Whichever is better for you. Hope that helps!

Sorry for the trouble you are having. If you just come back to the Easter Cookie post, near the bottom of the post you will see a box that says the tags are a member only bonus. Just enter your name and email address there. Once you have done that wait for a short time. That graphic will disappear and a new graphic will appear that will say click here for your printable. Click on that and your printable will open up in a new window. You can then either print them or save them to your computer. Hope that helps!

I just made these and they are extremely flat. I’m thinking 3/4 C butter is way too much. Is that the right amount? They tasted ok but looked nothing like the picture. A bit nervous because I’m giving these adorable jars as gifts tomorrow but am wondering if the amount of butter is wrong?

I’m not sure why that would have happened. I did use 3/4 cup of butter. I know different altitudes can affect baking as well, so you may need to adjust some for that. Otherwise, I’m not sure what happened.

I don’t usually post any comments, but, I feel with a few tweaks to this recipe, the result is an amazing cookie.
I tried the recipe as is and they were flat, way too buttery and had that bicarb aftertaste.
I tried the recipe again, but this time decreased the bicarb to 1/2 tsp, I added 1/2 tsp baking powder (to give the cookies some lift) and I reduced the eggs to one.
The recipe fits beautifully into a 1L mason jar and is perfect for gifting. I tried mine with white chocolate chips and it was an excellent cookie!!
Thank you for this wonderful cookie jar recipe! Will definately be making these again.

If you go back to the post, scroll to the bottom. Just below the paragraph that starts with “When you have your jars all ready to go, print out your free printable tags…” there should be a box. It’s not pink, but its a box. It says This is a Special Real Coake Subscriber Bonus. You should see a spot in that box to enter your name and email address. Do so. (If you’re already subscribed you may not see that box.) Wait a little bit and the box will change to a graphic that just says Click here for your recipe(which is what you’ll also see if you’re already subscribed). Click on that and the recipe will pop up in another window. If you try that and still can’t see it or it’s not working, just let me know again and I’ll make sure you get the recipe. Thanks!
