Digital Delights: Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

I am continuing to work on my digital album. My Creative Memories Consultant asked each of us to set a scrapbook goal at a workshop at the end of last year. I generally don’t like goals…a bit scarred from over zealous parents who were really in love with goals and goal setting when I was a kid….so I was hesitant to set a goal as they often feel like a prison to me. Anyway, I set one and have been trying to keep up with it, not as successfully as I would like, but pages are getting done and I have even finished one album (it was well under way before I set this goal) that I now need to save up to get printed.

The goal that I set for 2012 was to digitally scrapbook 3 pages per week. I have a reminder in my Astrid To-Do App to remind me 3 days per week. I tried to pick 3 days of the week that I though I might actually have time to complete pages. I haven’t hit every single one as I mentioned, but as I also mentioned, pages are getting done and it feels nice to see some progress being made. I have completed 28 pages so far this this year…sounds good to me!

Here are some cute pages from Pumpkin’s 4th Birthday party. She had a Strawberry Shortcake theme for her 4th Birthday. I did a google search to find some free ‘paper’ a long while ago to make her Subject Circles (or here or here as well) for our homeschooling. I used this same paper to complete these pages. (I’ll show you where to get it in the What I Used section at the bottom of this post.)

Once again, please pardon my pink boxes covering up private information. I know it breaks up the flow a little bit, but I think you can get the idea and I can maintain privacy. I started these pages with Creative Memories Click and Fill Pages. If you are not familiar with Click and Fill pages, I really like them. I love to create things and love to scrapbook, however, when I try to make my own design it takes me at least twice as long to create a page. So, the Click and Fill give me a blank starting place which I can add  my own paper and embellishments or as I often do, change things around. They are a nice starting place that helps me be a bit faster at COMPLETING pages!
Here is what the click and fill page looked like before I filled it in and or modified it.
You can click on either of these pages to view them larger on your screen.
What I used:

  • Artisan
  • Simple 12×12 Click and Fill Digital Pages
  • Kay Cee StudiosStrawberry Shortcake Digital Scrapbooking Mini Kit (no longer available)
Page 1

  • SS dkpink stripe – background
  • SS limeade dotstripe
  • SS rainbow plaid
  • KCDC SS Alphasheet (This is the only pain, it comes as a full sheet. You will have to cut out the letters you need. In CM Storybook Software, you can then save the cut outs as content so you only need to do this process once)

  • SS limeade dotstripe
  • SS dklime strip
  • KCDC SS Sticker Sheet (I cut out the strawberry and Strawberry Shortcake from this sheet and only used those.)
