Who’s ready to see what was in the box? I’ve got another Stitch Fix review for you today….and you know what that means, my kids have turned into photobombing fools again! How about if we start with the actual fashion fun first.
This month my box was filled with winter fashion goodies, which is so good because I have about 3-5 winter shirts that I actually like. The pickings are very slim in my winter wardrobe and I desperately need some cute winter clothes. So, let’s see how Stitch Fix did this month helping me stay warm and fashionable this winter.
First, if you are not familiar with Stitch Fix (affiliate links through this post), it is a monthly fashion box that sends 5 items. You try them on at your convenience and send back what you don’t want. I have a much more detailed explanation in my last Stitch Fix review. I will say that I have been using Stitch Fix for well over a year now and that it has honestly been a hit and miss thing for me. Some boxes have been great and others, like my last box, have been downright frustrating. I keep sticking with Stitch Fix because I really dislike shopping and it helps me out so much to not go shopping with 2 kids. I also love that they send me things I would never pick out in the store. Never. AND I actually like them. It is good to get outside of my rut and find new things and new styles I like.
Ok, so all of that said, let’s get back to today’s box. Oh and if you have questions about Stitch Fix, feel free to pop them in the comments box and I will answer them for you.
To start with this box had the Kut From The Kloth Milby Ruffle Front Blouse.
It also had the Just Black Faye Skinny Jean.
Since my last box was so not me and so off, I requested to have a stylist that has done a great job styling me in the past for this box.
I totally loved the shirt in the box and I think it looks good on me in the pictures. I’ve got a new hair cut (and new color) since the last Stitch Fix…loving the shorter and more clean line style. I think it looks much better on me.
On a sort of related note, I’ve been shopping around my house for the best place to photograph these posts. Hmm… I kind of think I like this location the best so far. Can you tell that I got this box before Thanksgiving? I brought out my Simple DIY Christmas Decorative pillows because I knew this post wouldn’t go up until the Christmas season. However, if you look, I didn’t realize that you could still see the Thanksgiving decorative pillow…oops! There is a little bit of the behind the scenes for you. 😉
I love the pants. Even though, I’m not totally convinced I should be wearing them. They are super comfortable as well as warm and a great color.
My box also contained the Skies are Blue Caspian Scallop Trim Cardigan.
I paired the cardigan with the blouse and skinny jeans. It looks cute together. I really debated what to keep and what to send back this box.
Then I got to try on the 41Hawthorn Lizzy Colorblock Striped Sweater.
Hello! I love stuff like this! It is warm and cozy and cute and I seem to have a thing for stripes. I like that the sweater is a somewhat fitted sweater. That is one of the things I don’t like about winter clothes…how they are so bulky and I end up feeling like I look fat all winter. I have lost 40 lbs and work hard to stay in shape and look and feel good….I don’t want to feel like the Michelin man all winter. 🙂
They also sent Street Level Huron Mixed-Material Reversible Tote. It is so cute! and Reversible! I love reversible things. ♥
I paired the tote with the jeans and sweater.
This is the reverse side of the tote.
Ultimately, while I love the tote….I already have too many totes and I sent this back because not only do I not need more totes, but I have nowhere to store them.
I shot this Stitch Fix box on a Sunday morning….let me tell you, the sharks were circling the whole time I was photographing. They were complaining that it was too early for this and that it was mean and they couldn’t possibly photobomb this early. Well, they complained loudly but they took photobombing to a whole new level!
First I had one crawling in front of the camera and the other trying to do a cute peace pose. Well, honestly, they started with a sign while I was shooting the first outfit. The sign said it was too early to photo bomb. There were so many photo bomb pictures this time, I had to cut a bunch out. I wonder if my kids realize I was actually trying to photograph the clothes, not them. 😉
It is hard to not laugh at them as they circle and bomb…and it is hard not to yell at them to get out of the shot so I can just get this done. An interesting mix of a laughing mad mom. Sometimes I really wish I could just not laugh.
She was so determined! Get out! lol!
OMG! These children…and I can’t stop laughing.
Then there was the time EVERYONE got in on one frame…even the dog. You just have to laugh….
…Or realize you have totally lost control and that you are not going to be getting any more decent pictures. LOL!
Here is what I did with this box:
- Kut From The Kloth Milby Ruffle Front Blouse – $68 – Returned
- Just Black Faye Skinny Jean – $88 – Kept
- Skies are Blue Caspian Scallop Trim Cardigan – $68 – Returned
- 41 Hawthorn Lizzy Colorblock Striped Sweater – $68 – Kept
- Street Level Huron Mixed-Material Reversible Tote – $54 – Returned
As much as I debated the ruffle front blouse as soon as I put on the striped sweater, I knew that it was a great fit for me and what I would be keeping.

CUTE! I would have probably kept that cardigan. You looked great in all of it!
Thanks, Kristine! I have looked at this pictures a few times now and I’ve kind of doubted sending back the blouse and cardigan…but oh well, it saved me money to send them back. That is worth something. 🙂
I am glad you kept that striped sweater, when I saw it on Instagram I loved it! That long cardigan looked great on you too.
Thanks, Lauren!
I love that striped sweater and I’ve requested one in another color combo. Looks great on you! Skinny jeans also look perfect! congrats on your journey to a healthier you. If you’re looking for a cardigan, Loft has several that are similar in color and style at a lower price point.
Thanks so much! I love your idea of trying Loft. I don’t like shopping, so I rarely go in many stores, but that would be a great place to get a cardigan.
