Welcome to Real Family Fun link party. I’m super glad to have you here this week.
I was out of town this weekend with a friend. We were running in a race. She ran a 5k and I ran my 2nd half marathon. It was her first ever race and she loved it! I’m so glad her race went so well and that she is hooked on running and racing now….and it is all my fault. 🙂
My half marathon was very different than I had trained for and anticipated. I won’t go into all the details now as I think I may write a recap post, but suffice it to say that the course was billed as a flat course with two rolling hills. In reality it was hill after hill after hill for 8 miles. Then we got a slight reprive for about 1.5 miles. Then at mile 10ish a huge long uphill and finally from mile 12 on it was mostly flat (or slightly uphill with one downhill). It was the hardest run of my life. I can go into more another time, but I made it and I am super proud of myself. If you follow me on instagram…you may have seen this after race picture.
Thanks for hosting!

Wow… well done running the half marathon, KC!!!
Thanks, Pam! It sure was a tough one, but I’m stronger for it…right?!
Thanks for linking up.
Take care,
KC

Congrats on your race & thanks for hosting! I love the 1/2 marathon distance, but hills makes it really tough!
Thanks so much! Ever time I’m running a half I swear I’m never doing another one and yet I seem to keep registering for them. They do seem to be a very do-able distance to train for without it taking over your whole life.
Thanks so much for linking up and joining the fun!

Great job running a half marathon!! I don’t know if I could do it…;)
Thanks so much! About 4 years ago, I would have told you I would never ever do it nor be able to. Then I got hooked on running…yay! You might be surprised at what you are able to do. 🙂
Take care,
KC
