Welcome to Real Family Fun link party. I’m so glad to have you here.
Real Family Fun Link Party

Let  me start by saying that the holiday weekend got me a tad behind on my blog. I didn’t get the features done from last weeks link party. I will get through them and next week the features post will be double sized with features from both link parties. Sorry for the delay, but I’m sure you understand my taking a little break and enjoying a holiday weekend.

Can you believe it is September already? While the kids in our area have now gone back to school, we will get our homeschool year started in two weeks. We have a tradition of doing something fun on the first day back to school for the other kids. The last couple of years we have gone to the beach, but this year the weather didn’t look very good for that, so we went to IKEA and the American Girl Store instead. We don’t live near either of those places, so we spent the night in that area and made a little trip out of it. We had a great time!

Now I need to get all those little (and big projects) finished before a very busy week next week and then the start of our school year.
This week on the blog I’ve had some fun posts for you. First up, I showed you my tips and tricks of how to sew on a patch.
I know lots of us are starting to look for homemade gift ideas for Christmas. I put together a round up of 15 Homemade Gift Ideas to get you started.
Today, I showed you a cute maxi skirt for girls I made. My daughters wanted me to make them a skirt and a matching skirt for their dolls as well(which I will show you later this week).
What have you been up to?
