Welcome to another week of our link party! I’m so glad to have you join us again tonight.
We had a busy and fun week. We had our usual weekday activities. This past weekend we went camping with our Girl Scout troop. I was not looking forward to it as I usually find camping to be a bit boring and the camping I did growing up was backpacking which is sooo different from camping. I have to say that not only did my girls and I have a fantastic experience, I actually really enjoyed it.
We have the best troop in the world and it is mainly because we have the best head leader. She LOVES Girl Scouts and embodies what the mission of Girl Scouts is about. This weekend, she and the woman who planned this camping trip(along with all the other adults there to help out), fostered such an amazing empowering environment for all of the roughly 60 girls who went. I could see not only my girls but other girls blossoming throughout the weekend. It was so neat to see the girls empowered, trying new things, being helpful, and being a sister to every Girl Scout.
On the blog in the last week, I’ve given you a fun family activity for Mother’s Day, my favorite recipe for French Toast, and shown you how to make sleeping bags for your American Girl or other 18″ doll. It’s been a fun week all around! They are numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the link party below.
