I’ve got some family fun for you that is perfect for any night you want to spend with your family.
I realize that most anyone that has children has had a family movie night, but as I’ve told you before, we like cute things in our house. If I can take a few minutes and make something that adds to the fun, my girls LOVE it!
You get the benefit because I share it with you! My kids get the benefit because, without this blog and deadlines, I wouldn’t get even half of the things done that I do…so Thank You all for continuing to come back…my kids appreciate it! π
These printables also make a cute addition to the Family Movie Night gift idea I shared with you. Fun!
Family Fun Movie Night
Supplies:
- Movie Night Printable Pack (Original Version / QR Version)
- Cardstock or paper
- Laminator – affiliate link (optional)
- Dry Erase pen (optional)
- Popcorn
- Drink(s)
- Candy/Treats
- Movie
Step 1: Print
TIME: 2 minutes
I highly recommend that you print everything on cardstock. Make sure to print enough for each person in your family to have one of each kind of ticket.
That’ll make everything really durable, especially if you plan to do the next step.
Step 2: Laminate
TIME: 5 minutes
Laminate your printables.
This will allow you to use them over and over. It also means you can use a dry erase pen to write the movie for on the Now Playing sign and change it for the next movie night.
When you make your tags, make sure you fold them in half before you laminate them. That way, once they are laminated, they will more easily fold like a tent and be able to label your food.
Laminating (affiliate link) isn’t as pricey as you would think when you do it yourself.
I know we will have more than one family movie night, so laminating them saves paper and ink in the long run.
Step 3: Set up
TIME: Varies
Now you need to use your signs and get things set up for your family.
How elaborate or simple you go is up to you. You can spend as much or as little time as you want.
Step 4: Decide on ticket values
TIME: 2 minutes
The admit one ticket is pretty obvious, but the rest is completely up to you.
You can decide which tickets you use depending on what you want to let your kids (and yourself) eat. You’ll also want to decide how much people can have with their one ticket.
Step 5: Enjoy your movie night
TIME: Varies
Movie Night Themes and Ideas:
As you think about enjoying your movie night, you can have themes where your candy and treats or drinks match your movie. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, but it sure can add to the fun.
We did a Frozen-themed movie night one week. That was fun.
Christmas movie nights are always fun. Here are 10 of our favorite family Christmas movies.
For most any family movie you want to see, you can search on Pinterest, and you’ll get ideas for snacks and treats.
Of course, you don’t have to do that at all.
I have a cabinet that I keep organized with candy and popcorn kernels, etc. for our movie nights.
Treats and Snack Ideas:
- Goldfish
- Popcorn
- Gummy Worms
- Starburst Minis
- Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- Candy boxes from the grocery store – if you look, most stores have a section of candy in boxes like what they sell that the movie theater. That makes it feel even more like you’re on a night out with the family.
