Instructions
Chocolate Chip Cookie
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars. Add the egg and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread dough onto stoneware or baking pan sprayed with vegetable spray. Make the dough into a circle.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool completely before decorating.
Decorating
Mix 1 cup of vanilla frosting with 64 drops of red food coloring and 165 drops of yellow food coloring. This will give you the orange frosting. Spread this on the cookie in a circle. Smooth the frosting in stripes downward to give it the look of a pumpkin.
Add fall M&M's for the eyes and for the mouth. Use 3 candy corns for the pumpkin's nose.
Mix 31 drops of green food coloring and 20 drops of blue food coloring with about 1/2 cup of vanilla frosting. This will give you the green frosting. Place this in a resealable plastic bag. Cut a small corner off the bag. Use this like a pastry bag and draw the stem of your pumpkin. Fill in the center of the stem.
Super cute! I will have to make that! I pinned it!
Thank you! Enjoy…it is cute and yummy!
My girls would love making that!! It would be perfect on a Halloween dessert table – the shining star centerpiece!

It would make a great Halloween dessert. I don’t usually do a dessert that night as they get so much candy, but it sure would make a cute addition. Have a great night!
I love this. Please link it to my linky party & anything else you have to share. It just went live a little early 🙂 Thanks, Peggy. https://diycraftyprojects.com/2012/10/whatcha-work-up-wednesday-5-linky-parties-are-back.html

Thank you! I will be back because you host a fantastic party, thanks for that!
how many servings for this recipe?
I’m not really sure. It depends on the size you cut the cookie into. I think the recipe I modified states something like 8 servings. I feel like we’ve usually done at least double that.
Sorry I’m not more help.
