So, I don’t know about you, but at our house nightly brushing teeth can be a total pain in the rear end. The kids, especially my youngest, tend to say they brushed and brush for less than the recommended two minutes or not brush very well. Sometimes I feel like I have to stand there and police them to make sure they are actually brushing their teeth and doing it well. Guess what? I found something that has not only ended the battle but has made brushing teeth actually fun. Have you heard of Tooth Tunes? They sent me a couple of tooth brushes as well as monetary compensation and I wanted to give Tooth Tunes a try because Pumpkin, my youngest, had been begging me to try them. She asked me to do this post….how can you say no to all her cuteness? Plus, maybe it would actually help her do a good job brushing her teeth…couldn’t hurt to try.
Tooth tunes sent us these two toothbrushes. They play 2 minutes of music so your child will know how long to brush. The music is really neat. If you just play the music while the brush is not in your mouth, it doesn’t sound like that much or even that clear, but if you put the toothbrush in your mouth, the music actually sounds like it is in your head. It is really cool technology.
Since Pumpkin is the child that I have to fight with the most to get her to do a good job brushing her teeth, I was skeptical that a musical toothbrush would help. Umm…I was totally wrong. She has not complained once about brushing with the Tooth Tunes brush. She loves the song they sent. She got the song, ‘I Love It’. She brushes for the full two minutes and dances too.
I have to say it is so nice to end the nightly brushing teeth battle. It is so nice to tell her to go brush her teeth. Then I hear the music playing and know she is actually brushing her teeth. Love it! ♥ I also love knowing that she is going to know exactly how long to brush because of the built-in timer….otherwise known as the fun music. I know she is brushing for longer than with other toothbrushes or timers we have tried.
Of course, she did ask for me to do this sponsored post…so I think she knew she was gong to love it long before I did. Sometimes kids are way smarter than us! 😉
If you have daily tooth brushing battles at your house, I think we may have found a solution to bring peace to one area of your family life. Give the Tooth Tunes a try. They have a variety of songs for different musical tastes and ages.
Do you have tooth brushing (especially for 2 minutes) battles at your house? What ways have you solved or lessened the battle?
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tooth Tunes.
Oh that is so fun! Totally getting this for my 7 year old!!
I know, right! I hope it brings an end to the tooth brushing battles at your house. 🙂
I love these toothbrushes as well. I have the same problem with my 7 year old son – these brushes have been a saver!
Also a quick question … I love the pink and white dot container … where did you find it? I could really use one!
That is so great to hear! So glad it is helping other kiddos and moms, too! The pink and white container is from Pottery Barn Kids probably about 3-5 years ago. Not sure if they still sell it, but you might be able to find something in a similar shape through them. Good luck!
Thanks! I will head over and check the site right now. I didn’t see any in store the last time I was there.
Hope you can find some soon. They really do help. If you can’t find them locally, you could always order from Amazon. 🙂
The struggle is real in my house. I can’t get my toddler to cooperate for anything. She just sucks on it. I’ll have to give this a try. What a cute little model by the way!
These are a really good idea. My kids are all older now but when they were little we used a stop watch and that worked ok but I imagine this would be even better.
Yes, we used to use timers or stopwatches as well. This is just more fun! 🙂
Terrific idea! If only I could find some for teenagers…. lol!
You might check them out. I think a few of the songs are designed for older kids. One of the songs we got might work well depending on their taste in music, but then again my kids haven’t gotten to the teen stage of rejecting things because they might be perceived as too young for them by other kids, so I could be wrong.
If they had the Ninja Turtles theme my battles would be over too!
