Did you miss my apothecary jars? It has been so hot, I came up with jars filled with cool colors and a beach theme. It helps me feel a bit cooler. I wanted to show you what I came up with for our summer apothecary jars.

Ahh…just looking at them makes me feel light and breezy and as though I’m ready for a beach vacation.
I made these apothecary jars earlier this year and gave you a tutorial to make your own. They are so much less expensive to make your own rather than buying them. Apothecary Jars {Tutorial}

I wanted to use beach inspired decor and light, cool colors. I love the way they came together. I wanted to use a small burlap ribbon, but I couldn’t find it.

I did find this sweet, glittery light blue ribbon. It is light and breezy, just what I wanted for the finished look. I didn’t want anything too heavy.

I filled this jar with some sand I purchased at the craft store. On top of that I added some shells(also purchased at the craft store). The white stuff in the center (I have no idea what it is supposed to be), came in a pack with clay shells and starfish from IKEA.

I started the other two jars with sea glassI had on hand (once again purchased at a craft store). In this jar I added a loofah looking circle that was in the pack of sea inspired items from IKEA. The starfish and other shells were from that same pack. I like the look of these starfish even better than what I bough at IKEA. Maybe next year.

This jar also started with the sea glass. I used some of the same circular material I used in the sand jar in the center of this jar to provide support for the shells.

All finished, quick and easy. Sure makes me want to take a trip to the beach! I can almost feel the cool breezes on my face and the water on my feet.

I keep my apothecary jars on the corner of my kitchen counter. It borders our kitchen table where we eat all our meals. I added a super simple coordinating centerpiece to our table. It turned out so cute, I can’t wait to show it to you later this week.

Here are all the other apothecary jar posts I’ve done in the last year with the tutorial and other decorating ideas. Just click on a picture to be taken to that post.

More to Enjoy! 😍

    These are so cute. I love the beachy elements you added to them. The jars are so perfect because you can always change what is inside to match the season or decor. Great idea.

      Thank you! That is what I love about the jars, the ability to change for the seasons, etc. It is fun. Do you have something in your decor that you change like that?
