Oh yum! I’ve got a super simple and super delicious gift idea for you today.
I love coming up with fun little gift ideas for the people in our lives that are giving their time and energy to my daughters and I. One of our favorite activities is Girl Scouts. I was a Girl Scout and have my Silver Award and now my daughters are following in my path, in fact, my oldest daughter has been working on her Silver Award this summer. Yay!
We are part of a large multi-level troop with a lot of girls and a lot of leaders. I have been a leader for 4 years now. I just finished two years as our troops main Brownie leader. I have quite a few of the girls that will be bridging up to Juniors this Sunday at our Bridging ceremony. I was trying to think of something simple and fun that I could do for my girls, but with 15 Brownies at my level, it can get expensive and time-consuming really quick.
Thankfully, Pillsbury™ has me covered! They have new Girl Scout Cookie™ inspired treats. You can find them right on the baking aisle with the other mixes. Yum!
I was able to get them on sale at Target AND they were on sale through Cartwheel as well, so each box was a very reasonable price. I was able to grab the few other supplies I needed to make these cute, simple and yummy gifts while I was at Target. Easy peasy! Love that!
I bought two boxes of the Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® Brownie Mix and got them mixed up. They are so easy to mix up and come out beautifully.
My intention was to have one brownie for each of my Brownies, but they seem to be disappearing quickly from my kitchen, so hopefully, I will have enough come Sunday. 😉
I also bought two boxes of the Girl Scout® Thin Mins®Cupcake Mix. I am also planning to give each leader a cupcake. The ganache that goes on top of these cupcakes comes in the mix. It is so simple to make and SOO delicious!
I found the cute cupcake liners that look so close to the Girl Scout Trefoil in a package on the row with baking pans. They are so perfect!
This is so easy, but let me show you what you will do after you mix up and bake the delicious brownies and cupcakes. Take a treat bag, again I found mine in the party supply section at Target.
Add your treat into the bag. Two cupcakes look really nice as do two Brownies, but I will most likely give mine with only one in each bag just because I have so many girls and leaders to give to.
Cut a length of the ribbon of your choice (I had mine in my stash) and tie up your cute and yummy gift. I may punch out a tag and write a simple note to each girl like I did back when these same girls were Daisy Girl Scouts.
I told you it was simple. I just need to repeat the process about 30 more times. That is where the beauty of having a super simple comes in for me because even with how easy this is, it will take me some time to get these all done and ready to go. That is OK. It is time well spent to show my Girl Scouts and the other leaders how much I appreciate them.
