This week I have 5 fantastic features for you from last week’s link party.
If you weren’t able to make it by to see all the fun last week, head on over to catch the great posts that linked up at Real Family Fun #21.
Can I tell you a little secret? I already panic when I think about my kids leaving home. I love being a mom and the thought of this day in, day out mothering ending scares me. Life After Empty Nest has some fantastic advice to make the transition a little less bumpy in her post Balancing Motherhood.
I just think this Learner Rider Cone Course/ 100 Days of Play from Teacher at Home looks like so much fun! Great summer play. I think I want to set up a course and ride it along with my kiddos.
Anyone else out there not usually into letting the kids make messes….or is that just me? If only I had a maid who could clean it all up. All Our Days has a great perspective shift for us from her day letting her kids play in the rain. Let Them Play in the Rain: Saying “Yes” to the Mess, looks like a lot of fun!
Umm..Yum, Yum! Need I say more about these delicious looking Frozen S’mores with Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream from This Silly Girl’s Life.
This cake looks so amazing! I so wish I could just taste a slice….or two. It looks so good. Grasshopper Mint Chocolate Chip Layer Cake from Tastes of Lizzy T is a must pin and must make cake!
Thanks so much to everyone who linked up. If you want a preview of the features, I usually pin them to my Real Family Fun Features board on Pinterest on Monday nights. 😉 So if you follow me on Pinterest, you get a sneak peak!
If you were featured, please grab a button and proudly display it…you deserve it!
See you back here tomorrow night at 8pm EST for the next Real Family Fun link party!
You are wise to appreciate these moments with your children while you have them. With my little birdies having flown the coop several years ago, I can say my heart aches to relive some of days…even the difficult ones. Hmmm, well maybe not the bad days. lol! But…don’t fear the empty nesting days (far) in your future. They brings their own “magic”. 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful 4th!!!
Yes, I know what you mean. It seems like life will be so boring when they aren’t around every day, but I know you must be right that empty nest days bring their own magic because I’ve never heard anyone truly miserable that their kids grew up and became adults. Did you have a good 4th? We had a fun day.
Hope you are doing well.

KC…girl you made my day and made me tear up all in the same moment! So excited to see my post “Balancing Motherhood” featured today.
Teared up because time flies…being a Mom is the MOST important job in the world. I just wanted fellow Mommies to know that the Empty Nest transition is easier if you never lose “yourself” raising those precious gifts!
Don’t panic…we are all in this together and share the same secret!
Thanks for the feature!
xoxo
I’m so glad I could help make your day! I really enjoyed your post and definitely take your advice to heart.
I don’t think I have lost myself though it sure could be easy to do. I purposefully try to keep things I really enjoy in my life. It helps me in the day to day with the kids…I guess it keeps me a bit happier.
I’m glad that I’m not the only one with the secret. It sadly seems to me that I don’t hear enough parent who really enjoy their kids and think they are awesome.
I hope you have had a great week.
KC

Your welcome, wish I could taste test and feature! Of course I can taste test by just making it…lol!
Have a great week.
