Hi! Welcome to our link party for this week. I’m super happy to have you here and have you join in this week.
I think it was last week that I wrote that things has settled down a little bit and we had a little break. I guess that was the calm before the storm because this week has been so busy it has been a little nuts. I think it will remain this way for a little while, so I just better hang on and enjoy the ride! 🙂
My girls and I participated in Race for the Cure. The girls ran the kids run, then all three of us walked the full 5k course. Snowflake and Pumpkin did such an amazing job. They had been looking forward to doing this race for a year now, so they were so proud of themselves and I was so proud of them as well. We raced in honor of my Aunt who just started Chemo on Friday…I sure thought about her a lot while we were out there. The girls ended up with two medals each. One for running the kids race and one for walking the 5k. They were proudly clinking as they walked around following the race.
This week on the blog, I shared with you a fully planned Daisy meeting to earn the red petal, courageous and strong. I showed you my solution for that dreaded afternoon question, “Mommy, can I have a snack?” I also gave you our latest family game. This game is a Hamburger relay race, perfect for Memorial Day.

Hope you’re having a great (even if busy) week. Thanks for hosting!

Congratulations to you and your family for walking for a worthy cause. I pray that your aunt will be victorious in her fight against cancer. I lost my identical twin sister to cancer of the stomach. Thanks for hosting.
Thank you, Judy! Thank you for my thoughts about my Aunt. I’m sorry about your sister. That must be so hard to have lost your twin. I can’t even begin to imagine.
Take care,
KC

I think it’s great you teach your kids early about the importance of helping others. I feel like so many kids don’t know what it’s like to do something for someone else, so starting them with charity stuff early is great.
I’m also impressed they did the 5k on top of the kids run. I’m sure when I was their age I wouldn’t have managed to do that!
Thanks for hosting again this week. 🙂
Thanks, Lisa! They were soooo proud of themselves (and they should be!)! Thanks so much for joining in…I can’t wait to read your post.
Take care,
KC

It was great to meet you KC — I love the idea of running/walk a race with your girls. I’m very impressed that your youngest was only six. I know that it is a challenge sometimes to keep them going. (at least it has been the case with my kids.) Great job.
It was so great to meet you as well! I really enjoyed doing the race with my girls, too. It was longer that way, but it was a nice time with them.
Take care,
KC
