I haven’t shown you my mantel in a while and thought it would be fun to show you the Easter decorations on my mantel this year. I’m hoping you see something you like and that you can use the ideas in your home.
I usually try to add something new each year to my decorations. I get a bit bored with the same things all the time and it is fun to make something new, so it works for me.
This year I used some of the same elements as my mantel from last year, but changed things up a bit and added a couple of new things, like the Glittery Easter Egg wall art I made.
Let me show you some of the details.
First up, I saved the adorable spring wine bottles I made last year. I kept them in bubble wrap in a box with other decorations and they did fine. Yay for that!
I added the new cute spring banner I made this year along with some flowers and glittery eggs.
I love these glittery eggs I found last year. I saw more this year and was so tempted to buy them…even though I don’t need them. I just love the colors and the glitter. Fun!
I also love candles. How about you? I don’t even light them that often, but I love having them in my decor. Over the years, I have collected a number of these fun candle holders. Most of them have come from the Target dollar spot. I love the color they add.
I saw an idea similar to this is in Craft Ideas magazine (affiliate link). I love the idea of using a vase and filling it with the glittery eggs. It adds a little bit of height variation as well as some more fun color and glitter.
When my girls and I were on our road trip last summer, on a whim at a stop for a bathroom break, I bought this little southwest ladder. I’m not even actually a fan of the southwest style (even though I grew up there). I think I just needed to bring something back East with me that would add a little bit of home to my current environment.
I ended up putting the ladder on the mantel. For my winter mantel it had snowflakes tied to it. Now for Easter, I added glitter eggs.
Of course, it is a great place to add another candle or two. 🙂 Did I mention that I love candles? More little candle holders from the Target dollar spot. I’m pretty sure all but one of those you can see on my mantel are from there. I might need intervention soon. 😉
If you have been around my blog a while, you may remember the hurricane lamps I gave a makeover. I still love them and have kept them on my mantel.
For Easter, I wanted to add a touch more of the blue to the mantel, so I added some of this fun glitter ribbon.
I’m always a little intimidated to show you my mantel or things around my house because I’m not a professional designer and it shows(in my opinion). I just have fun and do things I like. This is The REAL Thing with the Coake Family, so I’m hoping you like a window into another house that hopefully is similar to yours and that it gives you an idea or two for your own Easter decorations.
Now if your house is similar to mine, you have to move projects and kids things in order to take the pictures of the mantel…is that your house, too? I forgot to take a picture of that this time, but trust me, it took me a while to prep for these photos.
What kinds of Easter decorations are out at your house this year?
