With summer winding down, we still wanted to enjoy some time as a family. Since we tend to stay up much later in the summer, playing flashlight hide and seek for some family fun turned out to be a perfect way to spend a summer night.
To Play:
You will need a flashlight. My girls both loves these glow stick type flashlights, while my husband and I both like mini maglite. Use whatever flashlight you have…it makes no difference to the game.
Pick one person to be ‘IT’ as well as a location for this person to stand with closed eyes and count slowly to 10. While the person who is ‘IT’ is counting, everyone else will run and find a place to hide.
Do you have any other fun flashlight games or games to play in the dark with the whole family?
Ha ha, even my dog would love this game, he LOVES chasing the flashlight!
LOL! I love that your dog would have fun with this game…it is a TOTAL family activity!
Have a great night!

when I was young we used the flashlights as microphones and sang karaoke in the dark… it was lots of fun too. But we used the 45’s and a record player.
That sounds like a lot of fun! I always used my hairbrush as a microphone…lol!
Take care,
KC
I had fun watching this game.
It reminds me when I was a child. Nice memories!!
Thanks for sharing!!
So glad I could help you remember some fun things from childhood! Hopefully my kids will feel the same way someday.

We have mosquito’s every night! Boo! My girls and I seem to be quite sweet, because we get eaten A LOT! Oh well, we still had fun.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer as well.
