I’m back today with a quick and easy craft. I love crafting as much as the next person, but there are times when I just want some quick 10 minute craft ideas because that is all the time I have and I need a little fix (lol!).

I had these mini clothespins from a bunch of other crafts. I wanted to use them as part of my winter mantel, but they needed to look wintry not like wood clothespins. So, I decided an easy 10 minute craft was in order.

Supplies:

  • Mini Clothespins (or full size)
  • White paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Glitter

To make your glitter clothespins, start by painting the clothespins white. I went for the super quick (or lazy) way and just painted the top. I think they look fine for my use, so it works for me. If it bugs you, you can paint the entire clothespin, but it will extend the time of the craft.

I did two coats of paint. On the second coat of paint, while the paint is still wet, dip the clothespins into glitter.

I found that pressing the clothespins lightly into the glitter worked better in this case. Most of the time I pour the glitter on whatever I am making, but that didn’t work nearly as well this time.

Let’s just not talk about how much glitter I have used in the last year that I know so much about pouring or pressing into the glitter….I might sound like I have a glitter addiction…which I might. 😉

In just a few minutes you will be done with your pretty, glittery clothespins. Depending on how many you are making and how much of the clothespins you are painting, you can easily be done in a few minutes.

Now here is a sneak peek of where I am using my glitter clothespins! Oh so pretty and wintry! I hope to show you the whole project next week.

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy craft. I’m sure you could modify them in a ton of different ways for all kinds of different uses (insert giddy laugh here…lol!).

Do you like quick craft ideas? Or do you usually prefer involved crafts?
