All year long I’ve been showing you my apothecary jars. They have been so fun to decorate for each holiday and season. I’m so glad I made them earlier this year! I thought I would finish out the year long fun with my apothecary jars by showing you how I filled them for Christmas.
Of course, I went for red, green and white to fill the jars. I had some help in figuring out what to put in them and how to arrange them this time. My oldest daughter, Snowflake, came up with most of the ideas this time. We think they are so cute, bright and cheery.
Let me show you a few more details so you can get ideas for your own Christmas decorations.
If you want to make your own apothecary jars, you can see my tutorial on how to make them. Apothecary Jars {Tutorial}
In the two smaller or lower jars, we started with a base of small ornaments (affiliate link) I picked up at AC Moore and Hobby Lobby if I remember correctly. Then we added some glittery filler (affiliate link) we found at Hobby Lobby and finished with another layer of both the ornaments and glitter filler.
For the tallest jar, we started with a layer of the glitter filler. Then we placed two glitter pine cones from Michael’s and another small ornament or two.
I topped the jars off with this adorable, sparkly, glittery polka dot ribbon we picked up. We went to so many stores to find all our supplies, I think I found the ribbon at Michael’s, but I am honestly totally confused about where I got things. It is kind of sad that I frequent craft stores so often I get them all confused!
I loved having a helper to fill the apothecary jars. I think Snowflake and I made a great team. We love the jars!
If you can’t tell, we love glittery, sparkly things and these jars fit that perfectly! I will say the glitter ribbon makes a huge mess. It leaves glitter everywhere, so if that would bother you , don’t buy this ribbon.
Another Christmas decoration ready to go for this holiday season! Yay…it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. How about at your house?

I love these! I have some apothecary jars to fill, and I was stumped for ideas. Yours look more like vignettes rather than filled jars.
Oh I’m so glad I could help you out! Thanks so much for letting me know. You put a smile on my face on a very busy and hard day.
Take care,
KC
These are so cute! I’m going to pin right away. Thanks for a great idea.

Thank you so much!
Love it!

LOL! Yes, no eating ornament! Thanks for the laugh…it has been a really hard week and my girls and I got a laugh from your comment.
Take care,

Those are so cute! I really like them in white with the accent colors you chose. That polka dot ribbon is just so fun! I made a set a couple of years ago but did them in black and use them for Fall/Halloween & now they are being used in my beverage station for Christmas. I’m not sure they will be put away this year at all!
Thanks! I bet yours look great on your beverage station. Don’t you have fun filling them? So fun and so many ideas!

What did you use for the topper. Was really cute. Thanks.
Thank you! If you look in the post, there is a link to the tutorial on how to make the apothecary jars. I show the finials I used for the toppers on the jars in that post. As far as how I did them for Christmas, I used the polka dot ribbon on that finial. Hope that answers your question.

May I ask where you found the white candle holders? These are really adorable!
Thank you, I made the apothecary jars. The candle holders I used to make them came from various craft stores. If you look in this post, there is a link to the tutorial on how I made the apothecary jars. In that post, I list the places I found the items to make them. I hope that helps.
