Getting Ready for Back to School

You guys! I know for a lot of you, school has already started. For us, school starts next week. I am so not ready for back to school. Not only do we still need some supplies and clothes, but I just am not ready for the routine and the schedule and how much I don’t get to spend time with my oldest daughter when she is in school (my youngest daughter is still homeschooling).

This is going to make our back to school lunches a bit more simple and make sure the kids are clean. Love it!Regardless of whether I am ready or not, tonight we have our back to school night and come Tuesday morning, school will be back in session. I have to make sure I get us ready for both the school and homeschool year. I learned a few things last year, that I plan to implement this year and I thought they would be helpful to you as well.
This is going to make our back to school lunches a bit more simple and make sure the kids are clean. Love it!

Of course, for my oldest daughter, I had to follow the list that the school sends out to make sure she has what she needs. For my youngest daughter, it is just a matter of seeing what supplies we were low on.

Last year being the first year of having a child in the public school setting, we seemed to get sick quite a bit. I really don’t want to go through that again this year. Yet, I’m not a fan of hand sanitizers. The thing is that Snowflake only gest 25 minutes for lunch, and that includes the travel time to and from the cafeteria. She is not a fast eater. She certainly doesn’t have time to stop and wash her hands before lunch. Much as I think that is the best option, it isn’t terribly practical.

We love Wet Ones and I thank them for sponsoring this post. I always have a stash of Wet Ones in my car console. They are perfect for messes in the car or sticky fingers, etc. We used them all the time on our road trip and they are usually the first thing I stock up on when I know for sure we are going on a road trip.

This is going to make our back to school lunches a bit more simple and make sure the kids are clean. Love it!

I recently realized that Wet Ones also come in a singles variety. They are the same product that we love but in a single pack. Perfect for tucking in my daughter’s lunch. She can give her hands a quick wipe and kill 99.9% of the germs she has come in contact with during her school day BEFORE she puts food in her mouth using those hands.

I was talking with a friend this morning and she told me she keeps these singles in her diaper bag. Genius! I wish I had kept something like this in my diaper bag because the wipes won’t dry out or irritate hands like the hand sanitizers can.

This is going to make our back to school lunches a bit more simple and make sure the kids are clean. Love it!

We love using as much re-usable as we can, and while the singles are an exception to my usual buy in bulk rules to help the earth, when it comes to keeping my family healthy, I will make an exception so my daughter can eat with clean hands and hopefully stop the germ factory from bringing home so much sickness this year. I’ll be adding my cute lunch box stickers into her lunch this year as well. At least I’m starting out with good intentions. 🙂 We’ll see how things go.

Now to get ready with more lunch ideas…oy vey! The lunch box. It seems so simple and yet finding fun and variety seems to get lost in the school year. I’ve got our favorite cute lunch from last year that I will be back to show you really soon.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Wet Ones®. The opinions and text are all mine.
