Thanksgiving/Fall Centerpiece ~ Updated

When we last chatted about my ‘Fall’ Centerpiece, it was a bit more of a Fall centerpiece with Halloween flare. Not truly a Halloween centerpiece, but hints of Halloween. I got rid of the Halloween hints and made it simply a Fall centerpiece. It was just a matter of taking out the black feather boa and adding leaves in its place. I also added new wine bottles etched with Fall themed items rather than the Halloween.Of course I did all of this for you all. My oldest daughter, Snowflake, was not OK with this concept because I did it before Halloween. I had only planned to take the pictures and put it back to Halloween so I could get this post for you today. She was quite anxious to make sure I got it back to the Halloween Fall centerpiece…so no worries, today is Halloween and we still have our Halloween Fall centerpiece….until tomorrow! Whew, 10 year old crisis averted. πŸ™‚

Above is the changed Fall centerpiece. I showed you how I made the Swirly Wirly ~ Spiral Rosette Yarn Wrapped Pumpkin that is the start of the show, but before we get too far, let me show you the original centerpiece.

See the hints of Halloween? The black feather boa as well as the pumpkin and spider web etched on the wine bottle candle holders. You can read the whole post about this version: Fall Centerpiece.
They are now gone. Let me show you what I replaced them with in order to make this truly a Fall centerpiece.
I really liked the centerpiece with the black feather boa and I really like it with the leaves as well. So pretty to look at everyday.
I added some new wine bottle candle holders for this updated Fall centerpiece. I just had to drink some wine to get these two bottles….sometimes decorating is a real challenge! πŸ˜‰ Then I followed my tutorial on How to Make Your Own Stencils to make some leaf stencils and etch them into the glass of the wine bottles. I even tried overlapping 2 stencils with the smaller leaves.
I love the way they turned out. The kids really like these ‘candle’ holders. We light these candles more than any others. They like waiting and watching to see if the wax will run down the side of the bottle.
There you have it…my updated centerpiece. Hope you enjoyed the tour and that maybe it gave you some ideas for your own house or table.
Have a great day! Enjoy the beautiful Fall season.

More to Enjoy! 😍

Thanks honey! If the house is still standing when you get home, maybe I will have this back on the table. πŸ˜‰

Hi, I found your blog from the frugal girl’s link party, and am def a new follower from this post! I’m so impressed by your centerpiece and especially by the fact that you made your own stencils. Thank you so much for posting a how-to for the stencils. I’ve been wondering how to do that. Beautiful Fall table!!

Thank you! I like how easy it was to change it over as well. That way no need for two different centerpieces…works well for my life. πŸ™‚
